The seminar «‎Protect of the results of IP from a young age: or what you need to know about the proper protection of IP»‎

On February 16, 2022, we held an offline seminar for investors who want to correctly assess the prospects of investments, and founders who need to protect a startup's IP. Venture capital experts and IP specialists spoke about the intellectual property matters in the investment process.

The speakers were Andrey Chumakov, Co-Managing Partner of Lurye, Chumakov and Partners, Ekaterina Shekhtman, Managing Partner of INCO Law Firm, Patent attorney, Leonid Guryev, Principal of the American law firm Muncy, Geissler, Olds & Lowe, and Pavel Okhonin, Executive Director of the private investment company Kama Flow.

The main topics discussed - the ways of legal protection of results of intellectual activity, registration of the results of intellectual activity, types, terms and procedure for registration of intellectual property in the Russian Federation and abroad, the consequences of using opensource in software development, key problems during the verification of the results of intellectual activity.
